"Activism From The Impacted Person"

There are witnesses that can testify to the powerful commitment of those of us that become activist. Our inspiration to respond with activism is triggered by our need to express resistance. Our spirit to serve emerges from having empathy for the ones impacted.
“Activist promote & define a cause, volunteers agree & serve the cause, a community organizer seeks support for the cause and a hero is the one celebrated for their input or impact on a cause”.
The saying goes! “If you don’t practice standing for something you will only get better at falling for anything”.
Do you believe that sharing your 1st party life experiences or empathy will help others?
Did you know that activist make known the next conversations around social change?
We all need mentors to raise our awareness because we are often inexperienced. Have you taken the opportunities to exercise caring for somebody other than yourself?
Caring is like mercy and love both require practice to be validated and valued. The activist themselves are similar to that radical cell, that outlier with a 1st party claim. Suddenly like a big bang the efforts of the activist emerge to promote change like a volcanic eruption. All activism is intended to serve someone, some purpose or some principle. So the first step response to change usually comes from the one impacted by the experience.
The organizing method and style of the activist depends on their pre training or it will be developed as they go. We’ve discovered that the lack of uniformity of policies for networking is a key problem. It’s the problem that too often causes the wrong people to take the lead on activism and problem solving.
The activism start-up is important because its where you learn if the effort operates as a public utility or private interest.

Would you be willing to share your life experiences to help or alert others?  Tonya Mays said yes; after surviving being held as a sex worker for 2 years. Her trauma inspired her 1st party response to prevent what happened to her from happening to others. It’s our empathy and caring that leads us to catch the spirit to serve. Our inspiration to solve a problem or prevent a bad experience from happening to others; comes from caring.
Not learning to care will cripple many of your useful emotions and responses. Our spirit to serve begins with caring and acts of selfless giving. If you had a way to share your experiences to benefit others would you?
It’s a personal choice to have empathy for others and yourself. It’s also a choice to express yourself through activism. If you have a natural talent for doing something that comes easy to you. That talent could be a useful tool if you decide to start-up some activism or volunteerism.

Have you ever supported a person that started activism to make a change?  While a university student, Jenny was a supporter of her classmate who was being threatened with deportation. Their actions resulted in several participants getting arrested. That exercise in resistance changed the level of Jenny’s passion Jenny forever.

Teachers and mentors in activism, advocacy and self-help; can be there for the impacted person. Mate3.com has brought capacity for being there to provide best practice-based advice and assistance to the impacted person. The individual can now start-up advocacy and activism by simply answering 3 questions. The accumulated experience that a person gains from what they’ve been through; can be our best education on the problem. The more you get connected with other people that will stand up and speak up for humanity; the easier it becomes.

Although the strength of survivors and the power of their spirit to serve is legendary. It’s our need for expression that is meant to be our servant to assist problem solving. Having the know-how and will is the means to manifest change in part or in whole. When we started connecting the synergies of the survivors; it was magic. Having other victims supporting you along with the empathizers; has aided closure. Sometimes for healing to start we must have both change and closure.

Sunni Dai contacted us when her fiancé was disrespected by a local business operator. She started a protest that lasted 15 days; later the owner settled the dispute. We felt good about being there to lend support to Sunni. It’s important to have assistance in place to support the impacted person. We need the impacted person to have the assistance to become part of the problem defining and solution validating. We are like the official fan club for the varying types of activist and activism.

Calvin Thomas was a homicide prevention based activist; he became an activist after his younger brother was murdered. We helped his activism by assisting to connect him with additional supporters.

Zena Billingsley ran track at her high school in Los Angeles. She was an outstanding sprinter and very popular. Her popularity is what caused the news of her accident and resulting arm amputation to spread so rapidly. We know it’s a best practice to have a pre-organized relationship to support those like Zena. When the people we can serve are connected to our advocacy assistance network; we can provide a more rapid response. Focusing on the 1st impacted, and the potentially impacted, is how we problem-solve. When the average person is left without a clear and transparent plan for redress. We as a society inherit the consequences of those injustices. Today our lasting peace is not sustainable without more intentional organizing of mutual communication agreements.
The truth is that provocation by policies, reactionary responses and disrespect all feed 1st party activism. There are also those provocations to activism that emerge from a new defining of the problem by the impacted. In Detroit the sudden changes in the cost of water inspired activism. Water affordability based activism.

Mario Porter is a celebrated graffiti artist that placed his art in what he called “no harm” locations. Places such as easily seen walls of mostly non-esthetically sensitive locations. As those practices continued, the behavior was duplicated by vandalizing “taggers”. The “taggers” where less restrained in their choices of where to put their signature-art. Dilapidating commercial buildings and moving trains where no longer the main targets. The emergence of vandalism inflicted by “taggers” began to increase; so did the volume of public complaints. The result was "anti-graffiti vandalism based activism".

For most of us the wide spread use of the term civil rights based activism grew from the 60’s movement for civil rights. You would be hard pressed to find examples of the term “activist” being widely used before then. Mainly that’s because movements were not described around the activist. But rather they were described around perceptions, and 3rd party definitions of the movement’s potential goals.

Sometimes individuals will have spontaneous and unexpected outcomes that will cause a new reality for the individuals. Mr. and Mrs. Reznick were business owners from New York that were traveling to Texas. It started when their 17 year old grandson who was driving; stopped to refuel.
Somewhere between entering the gas station and leaving, he was believed to have committed a first degree sexual assault. As he came out the door of the station, the station owner suddenly rushed outside with a gun; shouting stop you can’t get away. He forced the teen to lay face down on the ground. And within 2 minutes the police arrived on the scene. The police told the station owner to holster his weapon. The petrified teen stood up and rushed toward the protection of police. Then another officer raised from the side of his squad car and shot the teen dead. It would later be discovered that the station owner was setting up the teen to cover up his own crime. From that experience the family became active in anti-police brutality based activism.

When Carol’s brother James came home from prison he needed a place to stay. She provided a spare room at her house and told her husband it would only be for a couple months; and he agreed. On the first day of the third month her husband began asking for James to leave. Although Carol stood in defense of her brother; who only wanted one more month. An argument started between her and her husband; and it escalated rapidly. Her brother had been facing the difficulty of getting gainful employment as an ex-con. He could also hear the arguing between his sister and her husband; James knew he had to go. The next few days brought more of the same; so James decided to end his life. Carol’s grief caused her to seek out professional help. That help inspired her to do volunteer work with suicide prevention based activist.
Do you remember a personal experience that you’ve considered sharing to alert others? On August 8 2018 Theresa arrived to southern California from Atlanta, GA. She had a business plan for a new non-profit based on her 1st party experience. It was now 3 years after Theresa told herself that her heart would be broke by surprise again.  She met a new friend that volunteered to assist her on her mission. A few weeks later they were hosting their first peer support meeting; the meetings are for those newly experiencing a broken heart. She believed that connectedness in an environment of support was healthy. It was her goal to create this community of support.
Knowing how you’ve benefited from a volunteer or activist powered project inspires appreciation. Almost everyone has benefited from some type of volunteer or activist powered project. Where you live, how you live, and with what conditions you live, are the result of someone’s initiative.
Connecting citizen experiences to organize better advocacy for the average person is the core function. Sam was so devastated by the court’s decision to limit his visitation with his child that he became an activist for the rights of fathers. His organizing outreach grew to include six states; and we helped by mobilizing the 1st party claims of other victims. Sam contributed hours of time every week to inviting fathers to share their claims for problem solving.
Our world has been made better through becoming aware of once hidden individual experiences. By knowing the value of our experiences we increase our level of appreciation. This relationship network is a resource to assist problem solving. Our cooperation in this mutual agreement to exchange our 1st party claims, is beneficial for each of us. The benefit to us is being positioned to identify our needs, and our wants simultaneously.  With this new method we can become more empowered to take action and evaluate solutions. The narratives, needs and activism of the impacted party makes a better map to solutions.
Marva Collins had a belief that every child could be educated. And she passionately went about her life as an activist for her belief. That belief was her education for every child based-activism.

The tragic death of a loved one can become the inspiration for doing volunteerism or activism. Big Al lost his brother to homicide by tainted heroin in 2006. After that Al sought volunteer support for his hand to hand warning campaign to alert others, and we helped. (As seen in the Detroit Free Press/ May 23, 2006/ front-page written by Frank Witsil).
Today we’re building a mutual support community. A community for achieving more uniformed and more rapid responses. We’ve learned that the best action takes a plan. For years we’ve needed a scalable mutual agreement for joint organizing and advocacy. That problem itself has been persistent; yet it is less so today because of mate3.com. An often emerging hindrance to problem solving and collective work, has been the lack of a fair equity sharing plan. That one problem has stood in the way of crafting policies for better advocacy.
The secondary effects of the deficiency in advocacy comes from undermining of the 1st party claims. To solve the problem we have with advocacy requires policies for fair and equal access for each individual. Activism from the impacted person is a unique expression. And now that we can add the 1st party narratological component to the organizing of activism and advocacy; we can be more effective.
"Anti-Domestic Violence Based Activism" "Overdose Prevention based activism" "Witnessing Jehovah Based Activism" "Veteran Services Based Activism" "Child Safety Based Activism" "Early Intervention & Awareness Based Activism" "Get Out The Vote Based Activism" "After Prison Re-Entry Assistance Based Activism" "Senior Citizen Based Activism” "Pro-Whistleblower Based Activism" "Financial Literacy Based Activism" "Transportation For People Based Activism" "Reasoning Christian Scriptures Based Activism" "Eye Care Based-Activism & Volunteerism" "Food Distribution Based Activism" "Public Safety Based Activism" "LGBTQ Rights Based Activism" "Eat & Drink Healthier Based-Activism" "California Shoreline Preservation-Based Activism” "Clean Water Based-Activism & Volunteerism" "Anti-Illegal Dumping Based Activism” Etc.…
Supporting the activism by the impacted person is what we do. And we put a question to the people we have contact. The question is if you had some volunteers willing to help you achieve a social change; could you decide what to do? The reason I raise the preceding question is because so few people plan on doing any social change based advocacy. We’ve learned that the skill of seeking awareness and justice must be taught, and practiced; to become a reality. And now with our growing ability to collect and mobilize information digitally. We are moved closer to getting greater accountability. This accountability component will raise our trust at the advocacy start-up point; and gives value to the impacted party as proof. What we can do on an ongoing basis is to put an emphasis on positive pro-active organizing. This includes expanding early intervention to bring best practices to the impacted. The first person or group that you share your 1st party experience with can have a guiding influence. Its better when we can have our claims handled by a person that understands our position. Because of the better communication options today we can make more productive progress toward solutions. You are hereby given a VIP invitation to ask get assistance to support your 1st party claim-based activism.
